Before coming to Delhi I was joking in Germany that I might have to share my workdesk with a couple of monkeys that usually occupy office buildings in Delhi.
In the meantime I have seen such monkeys at the facade of a Ministry building in Delhi several times. All windows are protected with iron bars to prevent the monkeys from entering the offices.
And now we have experienced at our flat in Vasant Vihar how it feels when those animals are coming real close to the human beings houses and living spaces. This monkey has eaten the lower parts from our balconies plants. When I knock on the window he is obviously surprised by me and immediately attacks.
