We arrive by Taxi at the Dehradun government compound for some meeting. Although the distance from the gate to the office building is only 300 metres, we are being picket up by a govenment car. VIP treatment. And it is not any car. It is a Government Ambassador.
From the first day in India I have been fascinated by these cars. The taxi version that was in use during our time in Mumbai was already nice. But then, there is the official Government Ambassador that looks simply awesome.
The governments driver opens the door for me as I approach the car with eyes wide open and speechless from having the opportunity to get into the car. Inside and outside the car is fully equipped with all the lovely assessories. Curtains, towels, little Indian flags, a beautifull cotton sky. The technical equipment is amazing as well. The switches for the power windows (yes, power windows!) are real *clack* Switches. And so on. After a two minute ride we arrive at the building and we have to get out. I won't forget this small Government Ambassador trip!
