For someone from Europe, an indian city and its normal streetlife are already pretty impressive. There is so much going on. So many things happening at the very same moment simultaneously. So many details to discover. So many new things compared to the own horizon of experiences.
In the evening hours, the darkness creates from all this a magical scenery that amazes even more. The volumes of the huge savage trees turn into black shaded cubes that are illuminated from below by a few lightbulbs. With less light in the sight, the intensity of the smells and sounds increase.
After a long workshop day in Bhubanesar I feel the need to have a cold big beer in the evening in order to come down. But then, instead, I go out for a Rickshawride through the nocturnal city and visit the central templecomplex. Immediately I am not only in a different world but in a completely different mindset.
