Since I owned my first iPad in 2010, the dream was there to use it for handwriting and sketching. Finally, in 2016, with Apple Pencil, this dream came true. I regularly draw and sketch on iPad since then, using various apps depending on how and what I draw or design. "Concepts", "Apple Notes", "Adobe Illustrator", "Apple Freeform”, and "Shapr3D" are my favourites. Last year, I tried to produce a daily quick sketch. Every day. No excuses. Quick and easy (most of them) done within minutes. Others (fewer) as longer projects over a time span of some days. Looking back at this massive repository of sketches, I observe two things: First. Various sketches that seemed too easy and simple when I did them gained value and quality over time. Second. Using this technique as a visual journal has much more value to me than writing down in journal style what happened on a day. I will try to continue in 2026! Video: Selected setches
