Sambour Farming

We are standing at the edge of the little village - one of the rural outskirts of Siemreap City. Small houses - more like shacks or huts - made from leftover materials mark the line between the open landscape and the small community named "Sambour". We inspect one of the newly constructed central waste collection points. A concrete construction with a metal roof. The view into the landscape at this bright afternoon with the light beginning to become yellowish is fascinating. Far away the outlines of smaller mountains in an overlay with the shapes of temple structures are setting the frame against the horizon, while in the fields some farmers are working peacefully among their kettles.

CatCoin Currency

Today, I have dedicated some time to develop a novel cryptocurrency, the CatCoin. The fundamental concept behind this currency is that its value is directly proportional to the purring of cats, thereby requiring human attention. This mechanism ensures a stable and consistent value for the currency. The initial exchange rate is 1 CatCoin to 500 EUR. Physical coins (see my design images) are also being produced, with the material chosen to be a high-value aluminum alloy. Photo: The CatCoin

Magic morning ritual (with cats)

We possess a dresser designated for storing items such as towels, undergarments, and socks. Each morning following my shower, I initiate the process of retrieving items from one of the top drawers. While the drawer is open, Ginger (one of our curious cats) enters the drawer and climbs via the void behind the drawer to one of the closed drawers below (the one with the towels). Babaloony, the other cat, appears perplexed by her sister’s sudden disappearance. However, upon opening the towel drawer with Ginger curled up amidst the plush fabric, the situation returns to normal. And this became "The magic drawer trick".  Photo/graphic: Passage within the dresser.

Digital cultural heritage

Kiran got a small gaming console for Christmas, and it’s like a time machine for gamers! It looks like an old-school Gameboy, but it’s packed with modern tech. The best part? It’s loaded with classic games from the past. It’s like a treasure trove of our digital cultural gaming heritage. I’m playing the original Tetris on it, and it’s mind-blowing! Even the smallest details are there, like the little bing when the start screen builds up. And guess what? My Tetris skills are still as sharp as ever! I even managed to score 100,000 points, and while watching the rocket launch (sketch) it is again an emotional rollercoaster to me.

Basket Boats
